Victoria Derham, Buyer
"I joined Arcadia 10 years ago, starting as a BAA in Dorothy Perkins on the knitwear dept and have worked my way up. I have had experience in many areas including tailoring, formal tops, and dresses but found my passion when I moved onto the accessories department. I love the variation in product and the challenge in sourcing it - what girl doesn't love buying bags!!! I am now the Accessories buyer at Evans and continue to love what I do.
No day at Evans is ever the same. The pace is fast and furious and always exciting. If you are not developing product or negotiating prices with suppliers then you are likely to be in fit meetings or range building meetings, or travelling to Europe or Hong Kong.
The fact that I have worked at Arcadia for nearly 10 years tells you how much I love the company. It's challenging, pressured, exciting and motivating but most of all it is supportive which is why I am still here."
